Beginning Quilting Classes

Quilters who can find a time and space to spend quality time quilting in a relaxed and enjoyable place is the benefit of coming to Manna House for a weekend.  Sister Betty Suther, an experienced quilter herself, is your hostess and along with both experienced quilters and those learning to quilt we learn new techniques as we produce a new project or work on an unfinished one.  You will need your own sewing machine and your own materials.  Check out a listing of dates and quilting themes. When you choose which retreat you would like to attend, more information will be sent to you.

GUIDED WRITING

Come to this day of meditative writing to continue your awareness of life’s experiences through this process.  If you haven’t kept a journal, this day will teach you how simple it is.  We each are given one life.  Every day is precious and writing can help us appreciate, accept and give clarity to our days.  Saturday, 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

SPRING SPIRITUALITY

What is in the bud in your life?  What is coming to birth? As the winter landscape around us takes on new color and life, so also our soulscape.  Spend a day exploring and celebrating all that is budding and growing and changing in your life. Saturday, 9:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m.  Registration: $40 (noon meal included).  You may extend your vacation with God to a full 24 hours by coming the afternoon before.  Additional meals and overnight: $40.

SUMMER SPIRITUALITY: A mini-Vacation with God
Presenters:  Liberata Pellerin, CSJ and Janet Lander, CSJ

“Come aside…and rest awhile” (Mark 6:31).  The summer heart needs time off from the daily routine.  Perhaps a week’s vacation is more than we can afford, but certainly we can gift our hearts by going on a short “road trip” with God!  Come pray, journal, explore and play, as you journey with God.  Saturday, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.  Registration: $35 (includes lunch).
