Private Retreats: On a private retreat the individual spends time in silence, prayer, relaxation and personal reflection without a director. This can be for a day or for as many days as requested.
Directed Retreats: On a directed retreat the individual meets with a director once a day. The content focuses on the way God is active in the person’s life. Varying lengths of days can be arranged.
Day Retreats: Manna House is available for day retreat meetings for groups of 4 to 30 persons. Retreat facilitators are available upon request.
Thirty Day Retreats: The 30 day retreat is offered throughout the year depending upon availability of space and director. Each retreat can be designed according to the individual’s needs. Our specialty follows the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The object of the Spiritual Exercises is prayer and the experience of God. The major part of the Exercises consists of contemplating the life of Jesus as presented in the Gospels.
Spiritual Direction: Trained spiritual directors are available for spiritual companioning during retreats of 1 to 30 days, for the 19th Annotation, and for monthly spiritual direction, or as need arise. Spiritual companioning is a process of intentional listening and prayerful dialogue oriented towards opening one to deeper self-understanding and discovery of God in all aspects of life. This companioning takes place in the context of confidential one-on-one sessions. |
